Please find information from the recent launch  evening:

Year 8 Activity Camp 2018

  • Registrations are now closed. ( as @ 22/11/2017).
  • More information to follow in due course.

Year 9 Bushcraft 2018

  • Registrations are now closed. ( as @ 22/11/2017)
  • More information to follow in due course.

Year 10 DofE Bronze 2018

What’s happening now and next:

Providing a deposit has been received participants have:

  • received their “Welcome to the DofE” email via their School email.
  • their eDofE Account set up, and know their username.
  • collected their “DofE Welcome Pack” from the library.

DofE Expedition Training we plan to start late February/early March, and will tell you when nearer the time.

In the meantime,  participants need to:

  • log into their eDofE Account and fill in their planner for their Physical, Skills and Volunteering Sections.
  • get on with, their Physical, Skills and Volunteering Sections.  It’s to participants benefit to get these done, now.
  • get themselves organised into teams of 7, if not already done so.

Ahead of the Expedition training starting we recommend that participants look at the information and links within the “Maps, Compasses and Bearings – DofE Bronze Homework 1” section.

 

Year 11 DofE Silver 2018

What’s happening now and next:

Providing a deposit has been received participants have:

  • had Silver level added to your eDofE Account.
  • collected their “DofE Welcome Pack” from the library.
  • organised themselves into teams.
  • attended training sessions, and met their Training Supervisor
  • started to work on their routes and route cards for both Practice and Final Expeditions.

EXPEDITION TRAINING

The Next  DofE Expedition Training is Wednesday 7 March 2018  – 4.30pm to 6.30pm in I-Block rooms 11,12, and 13.

ALL PARTICIPNTS ARE EXPECTED TO ATTEND ALL EXPEDITION TRAINING SESSIONS

If students  have a valid reason not to attend this or any other training session please email dofe@bohunt.hants.sch.uk with your name, TG, and reason.

Further training sessions will be:

  • Wed 14 March 2018 (4.30pm to 6.30pm) This session will include kit collection.
  • Other dates to be confirmed.

The above  in I-Block rooms 11,12, and 13, unless otherwise advised.

Things participants need to do. (if not already done so)

  • get their Bronze level Award completed.
  • log into their eDofE Account and fill in their Silver level planner for their Physical, Skills and Volunteering Sections.
  • get on with their Silver  Physical, Skills and Volunteering Sections. It’s to participants benefit to get these done, now.

IMPORTANT DATES FOR THE DIARY 

  • Sunday 1 July ( 9am) to Wednesday 4 July ( 8pm) 2018 – DofE Silver Qualifying Expedition – Dartmoor

Year 12 DofE Gold 2018 ( 6th Form and Alumni)

Providing a deposit has been received participants have:

  • had Gold  level added to their eDofE Account.
  • organised themselves into 3 walking teams  and one ‘on-bikes’ teams.
  • attended an informal Saturday  Gold meeting  and training session 1, and met their Training Supervisors/Leaders
  • started to work on their routes and route cards for both Practice and Qualifying Expeditions.

DofE Walking Expeditions are planned as follows:

  • Gold DofE Night Navigation  ( To be confirmed)
  • Gold DofE Practice Expedition – Wed 16 to Sun 20 May 2018 on Dartmoor.
  • Gold DofE Qualifying Expedition – Fri 12 to Mon 15 October 2018  in the Brecon Beacons.

DofE “On-bikes”  Expedition for G4 Team , status as follows:

  • Seeking information from organisation who have run or plan to run Gold DofE “on-bikes’ Expeditions.

Gold DofE Participants need to:

  • complete DofE Silver level, if not already done so.
  • log into their eDofE Account and fill in their planner for their Physical, Skills,  Volunteering and Residential  Sections.
  • get on with, their Physical, Skills, Volunteering and Residential  Sections.  It’s to participants benefit to get these done, now.
