We are delighted to share some fantastic news from Dylan H in Year 11, who has achieved an outstanding milestone through his dedication and service as a police cadet.
Dylan has been a committed member of the Surrey Police Cadets for the past two and a half years, regularly volunteering at events across the county. His enthusiasm and leadership have not gone unnoticed.
Recently, Dylan was nominated by his unit leaders, alongside four other cadets from across Surrey, for the prestigious opportunity to interview for the role of High Sheriff Police Cadet. This role involves working closely with charities that support young people, as well as accompanying the High Sheriff at official engagements, including events attended by Members of Parliament and members of the Royal Family.
Following a competitive interview process held at Guildford Cathedral, Dylan was successfully selected as one of only two cadets to take on this distinguished role for 2026–2027.
Dylan has now been formally welcomed into the position at the High Sheriff’s installation ceremony. He will serve in the role for a year, gaining invaluable experience and representing young people across Surrey.
This is an exceptional achievement, and we are incredibly proud of Dylan for both being nominated and ultimately selected. His success reflects not only his hard work and commitment, but also the positive impact he continues to make in the wider community.
