Opening times
The library is open and accessible to all from 8.30am every morning until registration, and during break and lunchtimes. Pop in after school to complete homework, relax and read with friends Monday – Thursday until 4.30pm.
Library lessons
All year 7 & 8 pupils enjoy a regular library lesson as part of their English ‘reading for pleasure’ lessons. During these lessons they are able to borrow books from the library and receive advice & guidance from the school Librarian.
Book clubs
The library runs some hugely popular book clubs for Y7, Y8 and Y9. This is a brilliant opportunity for avid readers of any ability to engage with a variety of books and enjoy some lively discussion.
For those in Y10 – 11 the library offers readers the opportunity to become ‘teen reviewers’ and be given some fantastic new titles to read and review for peers.
