Frederick F in Year 8 has achieved an exceptional national success, securing first place in a highly competitive UK coding competition.
Frederick F from 8PMC ranked 1st in his category in the Raspberry Pi Coding Competition, achieving a perfect score of 100% while competing against 15,194 students nationwide. This outstanding accomplishment places him at the very top of his peer group across the country.
This success follows a strong showing all round from Bohunt students in the Bebras Challenge, which took place in November. All Computing students participated, with 59 achieving scores in the top 10% nationally and progressing to the Raspberry Pi Coding Competition in March.
The recently released results also show that many students performed above the national average, reflecting the overall strength of the school’s Computing cohort.
Frederick’s achievement, alongside the wider success of students, highlights both the dedication of learners and the high standard of teaching and support within the Computing department.
