Our Trust literacy framework is built on the work of the EEF to support Literacy within secondary schools. Our model ensures that every student has high quality literacy instruction, as well as bespoke diagnostic support for students who are below age expected reading levels.
At Bohunt we are committed to ensuring that everyone reads a wide range of texts each week. We aim to empower students with vocabulary and knowledge that allows them to fully access the world around them, become active participants in society and succeed as Gamechangers.
Through our tutor reading programme, as well as our curriculum, students have the opportunity to discuss ideas, listen respectfully to others and ensure their voice is also heard and shared. Lessons at Bohunt ensure students engage in high quality academic talk and offer a reading culture with a high ambition reading word count for all.
All teachers are teachers of literacy, and model a love of reading and critical thinking of the world around them.
